A wonderful introduction to modal jazz for the beginning ensemble. This contemporary sounding chart is based on the chord changes of Miles Davis’ iconic “So What” and offers lots of melodic and counter-melodic material. An easy swing tempo of 138bpm makes this an excellent chart for beginning improvisers, and written solos are provided with chord changes for all players.
