Such a beautiful chart - smooth, flowing, sunshine-y, accessible. An easy-going samba feel underpins this piece, and carries the ensemble along for the ride. Optional auxilliary percussion parts are included for shaker, congas, and triangle to enhance the overall experience. The optional electric piano adds even more vibe. Alto sax and trumpet (optional flugel) carry the melody. Written solos are provided for trumpet and alto sax, and written piano and bass parts are provided as well with chord changes where applicable. The drummer trades phrases with the horns before driving into the full ensemble shout section. Trumpet range is to written High C. Trombone to G.
